In this scene when Banquo refers to the sword as weighing him down and that he is tired of it. He said that he is tired of feeling heavy and that he is unable to sleep because of it. This may be because of memories that are attached to the sword so that is why he refers to giving it away to wash away those memories. He offers the sword to Fleance to hold as he cannot bear it anymore.
