Script analysis

Spoken language is made of a range of features that aid communication. One of these, which is unique to speech, is the use of sound. In our spoken conversation, I used the filler “ahhhhh” to show a realisation. This communicates more than the words ‘I understand’, say, because it adds to a simple acknowledgement t with a tone that infers/ suggests that O didn’t already know that information.
